I, along with three friends, started tenancies with Abbey Rentals for the 2017/18 academic year and will be continuing to do so for 2018/19. During this time, Abbey Rentals has completely exceeded all expectations. Our house has been refurbished throughout the year to ensure that we are happy and feel comfortable where we are living; just a few small changes has allowed us to have a place where we feel completely at home whilst studying at university. In addition to this if anything needs fixing, such as a blown lightbulb or tap, someone comes by within 24 hours to resolve the problem. The response speed of the Abbey Rentals team cannot be faulted. Furthermore, we are always notified significantly ahead of time if someone will be coming round to check the meter readings etc., allowing us to be informed every step of the way has enabled us to really feel a part of the process.
I cannot thank Abbey Rentals enough for how they have treated us this past year, and I look forward to continuing my tenancy with them.
My husband and I have been landlords since 2007 and Abbey Rentals have been managing our 2 properties during that time. As we also run our own business full-time, we decided to opt for the fully managed service from them and we haven’t been disappointed. They take all the strain off our shoulders and deal with any issues quickly and professionally. They manage attracting tenants, undertaking viewings, the administration of getting the contracts signed and guarantors in place, ensuring that the property meets all regulatory annual certification (gas, electrical, fire extinguishers and alarm system, smoke detectors, etc.), collecting rents, managing repairs and cleaning properties between changeover. If we had to do this work ourselves, it would cost us more in time than paying the maintenance fees!
Tim and the team have also been fantastic at helping us keep the properties up to the standard that tenants expect by advising us when repainting needs doing, furniture or mattresses need replacing and notify us of any changes in regulations that will affect us.
We haven’t been disappointed in any of the services that we receive from them and would have no hesitation in recommending Abbey Rentals to any “professional” landlords who want a top quality letting agency to operate on their behalf.
