Abbey Rentals was formed in 1998 and the Directors, Tim, and Alison, have been in the letting business 10 years prior to this. With 30 years of development and practice under their belt, they, like all their properties, have solid foundations. Both owners of Abbey have a depth of experience in not only the industry itself, but all matters relating. Ranging from accountancy, local authority matters and interior design. They have a pool of knowledge that has enabled them to grow and expand for decades.

 

Bills? We've got you covered

Every property on our books has all your utility bills included within the rental price, which means one less thing for you to worry about. All our prices include water, electricity, gas and broadband, and all students are Council Tax exempt. The only thing we do not cover is your TV licence and Council Tax if your certificate expires.

 

Web-Portal Link 

We use a fully inclusive Web-Portal link. You can view all your rent payments, report maintenance issues, and access your Tenancy Agreement all at the touch of a button! You even sign your Contract online!


Dedicated Maintenance Team

For all houses managed by Abbey Rentals (excluding Let Only) we have our in-house Maintenance Team. All you need to do is log your maintenance report through the Web-Portal link shown on your property notice board and we will be available ASAP to resolve this quickly for you.

 

No money? No problem!

We do not charge any upfront signing fees or deposits, making signing with us affordable. We also price our rooms competitively to make sure you are getting the best deal possible.

 

You know who your Landlord is

We own and fully manage 90% of our properties, which means if you do have any problems, you know exactly who to speak to... US! No waiting around and ringing a landlord who lives across the country to fix your boiler. The few houses we advertise on a Let Only basis are owned by our trusted Landlords who we know will look after you the same way we would.

 

We have so much choice

When it comes to where you are going to live for a year, we believe that choice is ESSENTIAL! With one of the biggest portfolios of student houses in Chester, you are practically guaranteed to find what you are looking for. Whether you are studying on Parkgate Road or another Campus, we are bound to have a house that is in a prime location. If you are new to Chester and do not know the area, give us a call and we will make sure you are looking in the right place.

 

We let you know when we’re coming over

Communication is key and therefore we have developed a booking software which enables us to send everyone in your house an email. Where possible we will let you know when the maintenance team are coming over to resolve maintenance issues and, we will always inform you when another contractor is due to visit or carry out works. During signing season, when we set up a viewing for your house you will receive an email stating the time and date of the viewing! Plus, viewings commencing from 11AM, you have plenty of time to make the property and your room presentable.

 

We're super nice 

Our door is always open to discuss any problems you have, and we are located a 2-minute walk away from the Main Campus! We are here Monday - Friday, 9AM-5PM and are always free for a chat.

 

We make everything simple

We understand that you do not come to university to spend your time worrying about signing for a house and paying rent, so we have an easy letting process in place to make everything straight forward. We also tie in your rent instalments with your student loan dates, which is paid via the Web-Portal link when you receive your loan. For any late payments all you need to do is pop into the office and fill in a delay to rent form.
