Earth Hour tomorrow

24 March 2023 Fun and Event

Word Wildlife Found is launching an hour for the earth, and they are urging all individuals and businesses to partake.

If you can join, you will be part of a movement to a more sustainable future. In this hour you should try doing something that is positive for the planet or yourself. Go for a walk, clean up some trash form the neighbourhood, make resolutions, or think about how you may decrease your environmental footprint.

There are many countries, businesses and individuals who have joined Earth Hour in previous years, and this year is said to be the biggest event yet. Even if it only an hour without light and tv for you, it goes a long way for the global environmental movement as millions of people are also turning off their electronical devices for this hour.

If you want to learn more about sustainability and sustainable living, there is a lot of good information on social media and other media platforms. If you do search up sustainability on for example YouTube you will get a lot of information about zero waste, buying less, swapping your current everyday household items for reusable or more environmentally friendly options, how to eat more vegetarian or vegan, and the list goes on. If this seems daunting on you, you can always start with walking or take the bus somewhere instead of driving, or buy reused items instead of a new one that takes a lot of energy to create.

So, to sum this up:

Turn off your non-essential electronical devices for an hour tomorrow on the 25th of March and think about how you can make a difference for the environment.
