We know some of you might be packed with assignments and exams still. However, it is important to take some time off as well! So, we have gathered a list of what events takes place in Chester in June. 

 

Midsummer watch parade - 24th to 25th of June 2023, 2pm

More than 500 years in the making, Chester’s Midsummer Watch is the oldest and most colourful parade in the UK.  Since its first outing in 1498, the Watch has become a major part of Chester’s cultural heritage.

Over 400 local people are involved in this moving portrait of historical events, local legends, biblical and other mythical characters. Musicians, giants, dragons and pirates deliver colour, spectacle and excitement.

Chester mystery place - 28th of June to 15th of July 2023

Once every five years, the people of Chester create a completely new production of the greatest story ever told.

Don’t miss this epic theatrical spectacular staged in the stunning nave of Chester Cathedral. Biblical tales of love, death, betrayal and redemption performed by a cast of hundreds.

The 2023 production is adapted and directed by John Young (Romeo & Juliet, Grosvenor Park 2022) with original music composed and directed by Matt Baker.

The CCC with Dan Nightingale - 10th of June 2023

Incredible stand-up comedy at one of Chester's most iconic venues. The Comedians Club Chester will soon become a firm favourite with both punters and comics.

Saturday 10th June: Dan introduces Scott Bennett, Daisy Earl & Rob Mulholland.
